ID check
Babysitters can send us a photo of their ID and a selfie. Our team checks it by hand and then deletes the document. Approved profiles get the ID badge.
VOG check
Babysitters can upload their certificate of conduct (VOG). We check the document and the date; the profile then shows the VOG badge with the issue date.
Honest reviews
Reviews can only be written after a real conversation in which both sides have replied. No fake reviews from strangers.
Report and block
Every profile and every chat has a report button. Our team looks at every report. You can block someone with one click.
Your details stay private
Your exact address, phone number and surname are never shown. On the map we show only an approximate location.
Active profiles only
Profiles without activity for 30 days are hidden automatically, which keeps out old and fake accounts.
Safety tips for parents
- Always meet in person first, preferably at your home with the children present.
- Ask for and call references.
- Ask for a VOG, or choose a babysitter with the VOG badge.
- Keep the first contacts in the 123 Oppas chat.
- Never pay in advance for babysitting that has not happened yet.
- Trust your gut. Something feels wrong? Report it.
